My Valentine's Day was lovely.

I worked all day, but they treated us well. There were cupcakes, donuts, cookies, boxes of candy, chocolate covered strawberries. I got tipped well by generous clients. On the way home I grabbed Raising Cane's, which I am an absolute fiend for.

When I got home, Blair and I played some Phasmophobia, took some romantic alone time over the phone, and had some wonderful sleepy conversation until bed time. She already opened my Valentine's gift to her the other day on her birthday, and mine hasn't arrived in the mail yet, but should be here Monday.

Today, I ran some errands. Got that duplicate mailbox key made, dropped by Daiso, stopped into Walmart for a few things I needed, and came home to pack up a bunch of items I sold online to be shipped on Tuesday. Scooped up a big ol box of 50% off leftover Valentine chocolate, too, which I've been grazing on.

Got my bills paid. Updated my to-do list. Wrote out a letter for Blair and packed up her anniversary gift to be shipped out soon. Whipped up a lovely chicken curry for lunch-dinner, and after, spent some time laying out on my yoga mat, doing stretches and laying on a pair of tennis balls to help work the knots out of my back while I listened to the most recent episode of My Favorite Murder.

A day that was equal parts chill and productive!

Tomorrow I'm going to sit and watch my shows while I make a bunch of friendship bracelets to give out during the upcoming Star Wars Nite at Disneyland. I need to photograph and post some more items for sale at some point, but for the most part I got most of my tasks done today so that I could mostly just be lazy tomorrow.

I'm feeling pretty good. There's always this low level hum of anxiety, because of money, the upcoming move, and because of just, you know, the state of the world, but. I'm feeling pretty happy right now. I hope it holds up. I still have a lot of work to do but I feel like I've got enough time to do it.

Presently catching up on season 3 of Harlem, season 3 of Beastars, and looking into maybe starting Yellowjackets even though I already have like thirty tabs open. We'll see! I also want to clean out everything I can only find on Netflix (mostly international movies and shows) so I can finally cancel my subscription. I'm sick of them raising the fees and offering fewer and fewer choices in return. They're always sending me emails thanking me for being a loyal customer since 2008 (seriously, has it been that long? woof.) but it's like, oh. If you're so grateful maybe think twice about continuing to charge me more and more money for less and less content? Just a thought.

I hope you're all doing well. <3
