It was a long day at work, but now I have three solid days off, and I plan to use them wisely.
I'm going to stay up late tonight watching holiday baking challenge shows, sleep in late tomorrow, then slam a couple of Space Cokes and write write write write write. I have to.
I'll also wrap presents and head to the mall maybe Wednesday to pick up the last couple of items I need, and get all my boxes packed and ready for shipping.
Strange noises still send me spiraling into high alert, blood rushing in my ears and heart pounding, but overall I'm starting to settle more easily. I can only hope the would-be burglar has moved on to different houses in a different neighborhood, or better yet, has been caught for something else.
I straight up forgot that I signed up for comment bingo again, so uh. I should probably get on that at some point.
